We are working to improve the Great Collaboration by:
- adding more collective actions open to councils and community groups.
- updating the guidance for local councils and community groups accordingly
- developing a digital map showing activity and opportunities around the country.
- including links to existing climate networks and good practice.
- keeping people informed through newsletters and social media.
- supporting county-based and other local advisers to work with people face-to-face.
We are also fundraising for paid staff to help with this work, but in the meantime, there are four key working groups you can choose to join:
- COMMUNICATION – both telling everyone what we’re about and gathering requests and good practice from around the country, linking with county advisers and other organisations
- CONTENT / EDITORIAL / GUIDANCE – working from requests for climate action guidance to source existing advice or draft new, as well as identifying case studies of good practice
- WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT – improving the Great Collaboration with the latest technology, ensuring that people can find what they want within three clicks of the mouse
- FUNDRAISING – seeking capital and revenue funding for all the above
If you have some time and would like to join us, please would you fill in this form and email it to office@greatcollaboration.uk – we look forward to meeting you!
