We may already know our immediate parishes – if not, this is a great opportunity to make contact and share ideas about climate action.
A number of topics may help start a conversation, such as:
- Wildlife corridors – wild animals need to roam but are not restricted by parish boundaries
- Rights of way – clear routes can help with active travel over a wide area
- Community energy – there may already be plans for solar panels or even a wind turbine, depending on geography
- Planning applications – as ever, some larger development proposals may affect more than one parish
Parish websites may give a clue as to what each neighbouring council is doing about climate change before asking.
Further information about what may be happening by parish area is being added to a digital map here.
