Buying an Electric Vehicle
We will buy an electric vehicle for our council use.
- Opting for a car that runs purely on battery power can feel like a risky move
- However, an electric vehicle (EV) with zero tailpipe emissions will help reduce local, particulate and other air pollution and may greatly reduce overall emissions if green electricity is used to charge it
- While running costs may be less than using fossil fuels, the purchasing cost will be higher – see more discussion about purchasing issues at Motoring Research
- Some further advice is available from Motoring Electric
